About Open Water Diver
Scuba diving El Nido is a must-try for every ocean lover! Did you ever think about how awesome it would be to see what is going on under the surface? Observe colorful reefs, swim with the turtles, or glide through an impressive rock formation – El Nido has it all. The PADI Open Water Diver is the first course you can do to become a certified diver.
Diving is great fun, but it is essential to know how to do it right. The PADI Open Water Diver program is the best way to learn it.
In the course, you will learn the basic theory and do the most critical practical exercises. You will know how to react in different situations that could possibly happen underwater. Safety is always the highest priority; the Instructor will take care of you throughout the course.
The best option is the eLearning option. We will send you a link to your email address once you booked your course. With that link, you get access to all your study material. There are five chapters with a knowledge review and a quiz at the end of each chapter. After the last chapter, there is a final exam of 50 multiple-choice questions. Once you finished all of that, you are ready to dive!
Of course, you can also do your theory here in the Dive center with a book and paper questionnaires. Enough theory – let us go diving!
The day before your first dive, you should come to the Dive center to suit your gear, meet your Instructor and get all your questions answered.
For the next two days, we are going to dive. The first dive is in shallow, calm water to get started. With each dive, you will feel more confident underwater.
The Theory is done! Let’s go diving!
Once you have finished your online theory it will be time to meet with your Instructor. A Quick Review and registration documents will be filled out on arrival. After Preparing your equipment you are all set to start the underwater adventure. The next day it is time to dive! The practical part of the course is divided into two segments: 5 confined water sessions and 4 open water dives combined in 6 dives over 2 days.
Day 1: 3 Confined water sessions & 2 open water dives
In the morning, you will start by learning the basics in shallow water followed by your first open water dive to a maximum of 12 meters. Just before lunch break you jump into the water for a 200-yard swim and a 10-minute float. After lunch you will go for your second open water dive of the day. By 3:30 pm we will be back in our Dive Center.
Day 2: 2 Confined water sessions & 2 open water dives
On Day 2 you will complete the remaining confined water sessions and 2 open water dives with a maximum depth of 18 meters. By the end of the day you will have done what it takes to become a PADI Open Water diver!
You can start the course at any time.
We have a ratio of max of four students on one Instructor. Our Instructors speak many different languages; ask us for your preference.
