Diving Specialty Courses – Nitrox

One of the most beneficial speciality courses for all divers. Nitrox is a breathing gas with an oxygen content higher than 21% and max—40% oxygen for recreational diving. The Higher oxygen content replaces nitrogen in the gas blend. The advantage for you is a longer bottom time since you do not load yourself with as much nitrogen as you would do with normal air. That is basically the whole trick. Most Nitrox divers also say that they are not that exhausted after a dive with Nitrox. During the course, we will teach you how to measure your tank’s oxygen content, how the tank should be labelled, and how to set your computer for each tank. You will also learn about how your body will react to the oxygen and what the hazards when working with oxygen are. After completion of the course, you will get a PADI Enriched Air Nitrox certification. With that Certification Dive centres around the world will let you dive with Nitrox.

The certification requirements do not include an actual dive; however, we usually offer the course with dives.

Example: You do the theory part online by yourself. Once you are in El Nido, you come to our dive centre at 5pm. We suit your gear and show you how to measure your tank and set your computer. The next day you will come for the fun dives with us.

On the days of your dives, we will meet at the dive centre at 8am and return, usually around 3 to 4 pm.
